  1. I'm getting reports of a number of things that make it over in the conversion. There are a number of Clean Up tools that they ask you to run after and tons of sql conversion that happen during the upgrade. Since the messageboard has over a half million posts I had to run the clean up twice and since I didnt sit there and watch it run I think it may have timed out part of the way thru. Not sure where birthday list happens although I do know that some birthdays made it I think. I will try to run the clean up and conversion routines again to see if it helps. Fingers crossed.
  2. HAHAHA! (click on the thumbnail above this) Regarding More posts per page I can make that happen but I think you maybe able to do it thru your user settings as well. I will check in to it.
  3. We can try to adjust the settings to make it more like the old board in the good ways people miss but need feedback on what that is or how it could be made better. Let us know.
  4. Nice Work Steve that is good stuff thanks for finding that! I had to figure out how you did it and for sake of the others it looks like you select the 3rd icon from the left in the tool bar which is speciall BB code select media then input the url from whatever source you are posting. If this works I am correct. http://youtu.be/0kOmQ3pyxnU
  5. I also found out that you can attach not only jpg, gifs or pngs but can also do movs and mp3. hfctest.mov
  6. Actually, the OC is only available to supporters as a thank you thats why you dont see it up front.
  7. That logo is a temporary measure so that people will realize this is the hfc board rather than some invision board.
  8. I'm almost embarrassed to admit it but I run my whole board off a One spot and two daisy chains. Since the One Spot output is something like 1600 ma and most pedals take very little in regard to ma to run so my understanding was add em up and make sure they do exceed output of the transformer. no? So far its seems like it working fine even with Line 6 DM4 in the loop. Maybe there are reasons to not do what I am doing but seems to be working for me. Thoughts?
  9. Hope is to mod the look so its a bit more black and white checkerboard to make it evident immediately where you are.
  10. Yes however the admin setup is drastically different than he old version so still figuring out all the settings. sorry for the confusion.
  11. There was a short window of less than an hour between me copying the db, configuring the new one and deciding to pull the trigger and throw the board in to maintenance mode where we may have lost some. Sorry about that. Necessary evil so for those who posted I know its hard to re channel that genius but feel free to re-post if you like.
  12. I expect its immediately apparent to all of you that the messageboard was upgraded last night. There are a lot of nice new features and overall it should work better and be easy to use. There are a few bugs in the configuration that I am still working thru however (like avatar upload permissions) so in the meantime please respond to this thread with any other issues you may come across. That is if anyone beside me can still post Enjoy.
  13. As Z mentioned above I have a tweed looking peavey classic 50 4x10 thats a great utility rock amp that I am happy to supply. Jeff Loven's main amp from the 90's for those how know him. Footswitchable, straight forward and easy to use. Any of my other amps are also available too if we need anything to round out the stable. Mesa, Fender, Carvin, Line6, Laney. How about a GK250ML. Now thats an easy amp to carry. I real one trick pony thats rarely used but never being sold. haha.
  14. Hey Folks, Thanks for the birthday wishes. Big plans, Dinner with family followed by a full volume band practice with Robbie. I don't know if I could ask for a better present. Well, that is unless came with a AAAA top. HA! Wife and I have theater tickets friday so may not make it to Bruce's but will try to get her to swing by (and possibly drop off) after the play. HFC'ers are the best. your friend, Ted
  15. Kevin is also on the sound bites for the PAF Pro too! Way to go Kevin, you deserve it.
  16. Thanks Eric your half a twenty is in the mail. Just so there is no mistake, Without Andrew Large and all the rest of you the HFC would be nothing. The people here are what make the HFC so awesome and I can take no credit for that. As I've said many times it just seems that Great People play Great Guitars. If you havent been to a jam yet I highly suggest you get to one. I wasnt much of a Jammer before since there are plenty who can play circles around me but every time I go to one there is nothing but an overwhelming feeling of support and love for what we are doing thats just so comfortable. Trust me playing with someone like Eric is a great way to improve quickly. Playing with better players pushes you to another level and they usually have no ego and are quick with support and friendship. mushy enough for you? sorry.
  17. Hey George thanks for the memories as Monday night I took Charlie to get a hair cut and he got this, I kid you not. Same kid 2 days later.
  18. FYI, I merged this and the photos thread so people would only need to look in one thread to see it all.
  19. oops I just edited above so it would say correctly not on video instead of on video. I do have about 1:45 worth and this was a quick sampling.
  20. Here's a link to the video. Took a little bit to hack it all together but this will give you a little bit of an idea. Remember there were 6+ hours of other stuff not on video so this really doesnt do it justice. Word of warning to dial up users - it's 14 minutes and 15mgs!
  21. Pictures? I got video coming? Just captured 2 hours of it on the computer just need to sift through it cause at the resolution I imported at its over a gig. Its pretty much stationary camera stuff and the mic on the camcorder was getting hit pretty hard but it will give you an idea for sure. Working on figuring out how to do this now hopefully it wont take too long.
  22. I would have loved to see Jeff again last night but because I didnt I can happily say the I have been married exactly 13 years and one day as of today.
  23. While taking this picture MC said "one well placed grenade" meaning CMatthes would be left holding the bag. HA! Seriously, I'm amazed that when Andrew Large and I started this site 10 years ago that a simple message board would lead us to connecting with some of the greatest people, not to mention players we would ever meet. I'm blessed and honored to find and consider you folks my friends. To have two hfc events on the same day is definately one of the 'things that makes me smile'. If you havent been to one of these events or are thinking of having your own, do what ever you can to make the next one. It will change your life. Bruce McBride and everyone else who have held an event, you are my hero! Jeff R and the rest of the usual suspects, you know who you are, you are awesome! Life is good no matter what the news may tell you.
  24. The guitar is something Ted dropped off. Let's just say with a white emg hum and single coil, one volume knob, floyd and that color, it was cutom built and had to be shipped to Minnesota but It wasnt built for me, I'm just the guitars second stop in MN. That's all I can say about that, any speculation will will neither be confirmed or denied. What I can say is that Hamer has donated it to the HFC Server Fund. Tentative plans are that it will be given away by raffle at Bruce McBrides Birthday Jam and official HFC open house at the Minneapolis Eagles Club in October. Winner need not be present to win but you might not want to miss this event. Proceeds will benefit the server fund and another charity(s), Details to be determined and will be posted on the board soon. Long story short, This guitar is going to some one here. Maybe you? hopefully we will get some more pictures and reviews after tonights Jam.
