  1. I agree!! Mike, regarding the light laying on the bench. Are you leaving that there during sanding to 'side light' the project and see the contours better? Or is it just there for the photos? Thanks, Dave
  2. Yes, me too. Nub-less are a little kinder to those of us in the repair world...(but, the nubs do look really cool)
  3. Yes, I agree. Mike, thanks for keeping the thread on track.
  4. Holy crap, still at it eh'? I saw them on the Big Generator tour with Mr. Big (I think?) Early 90's was it?
  5. The title of the post makes me think of the one note master Neil Young, but BB King gets some single note bone tone that I really dig.
  6. Excellent videos, thanks! Yes! Very cool, thanks as well. I have always admired the craftsmenship of the Hamers. And like Jol said I assumed it was a much bigger operation. I have a question for some of the guy's who worked there about the ivoroid binding. Do you remember who the supplier was, and did you have to let it cure before working with it? On other guitars with ivoroid binding they can run into problems with shrinking, I don't think I've seen that on Hamers.....? Just wondering, thanks!
  7. Yeah, he's pretty good. I saw him on Austin City Limits recently, try to catch that re-run it's from the latest season. Several styles combined, with many songs sounding very different.
