  1. But...wasn't the neck pocket on a Daytona cut different, like a Telecaster? Wouldn't it have to be rounded out to fit a Strat neck correctly? Or am I on drugs.....again....
  2. I still use the same old Boss GT-3 (for 20 years now? Holy shit) and it still does more than everything I need it to do. You can update those?? Who knew? The nice thing is that I can go to a GT-6 or higher and figure it out. I got a POD once and never did make it work. Off it went. And I'm too old now to try that newfangled Helix or Fractal stuff. It gives me a headache. I need to lie down.

  4. The weight is good, though. It might be a monster player. $1200 is a bit pricey for what's there and what it needs, IMO. Hell I have a T-51 neck (or a Daytona neck. I can't remember...) here somewhere. I should just build a FrankensT-51 and call it a day.
  5. My daughter got us one of those wagons. It's handy as hell and gets used waaay more than I would have imagined. Good call!
  6. In about 10 years that might be accurate.
  7. I think that's FAKEimba, Kiz. Balsa wood.
  8. ^^^ That one just looks like a screamer, Dave. Nice!
  9. Holy hell that thing is beautiful. Makes me wish I'd paid more attention in school. I hope it's not just a wallhanger - it begs to be played. Sounds like y'all had a pretty great day!
  10. Whichever is easiest to carry and set up! I had to look up the Fishman and it looks really nice. I'd say it's a coin flip, with a nod towards the Harbinger in the bigger rooms. The Guitars for Vets program is awesome. Good on you for being a part of that. ๐Ÿ‘
  11. And I was told it isn't hereditary, but my older brother has it, too. So it would seem someone along my path was mistaken. I was also told you'll likely die from something else, but just knowing it's in there and there's nothing you can do about really kinda sucks all the same. On the plus side - I'm taking a lot less stuff for granted these days.
  12. My serious G.A.S. was cured by Mike, though I still would like a decent Tele-type. Now I buy mostly cheap stuff to mess with. I'm surprised at how good they can be with a little attention. The age thing is a funny bit. Finding out I've had CLL for 20 years and didn't know it has played with my head a little, but I am faaaar more appreciative of every day. I have more questions about what I want to do with whatever time is left. I question the value of an upcoming recording project that has given me nothing but anxiety. I'd rather do something else - something FUN - but hate the thought of losing some really good players. I know - the recording part is supposed to be fun, but so far it just isn't hitting me that way. I also having a raging case of cabin fever, which isn't helping.
  13. Thanks, but no case and 1 feedback. I'll just watch that one from over here. At least they're popping up once in a while.
  14. You need the patience of a saint and a lust for tedium.
  15. I used my Katana 50 for direct recording (not quite the same, but close) and it sounded great. Plus it's a great lightweight 'grab-and-go' amp. New it was around $230.
  16. Nice! That's a restomod, 'no harm, no foul' guitar - an awesome starting point to experiment on. ....well...you know....short of grinding a wing off or making it a 7-string.....
  17. If Grace Potter gets a signature model, everyone should get a signature model.
