  1. I've always heard that USPS is the cheapest for shipping to Europe, but no personal experiences. Duties and VAT are always going to be a major bummer, unless you'd be making the trip to the USA yourself, picking it up there, bringing it back and the people at airport customs don't feel like working (That's more or less how I got my Hamer here)
  2. Best of luck in your new adventure! Like many before me said, I'd love to see some of your work
  3. Haven't used it yet, but when I bought my guitar, I had them ship some Petros instrument polish as well (http://www.petrosguitars.com/polish.htm)
  4. Congratulations to both yourself and your son! You must be a very proud father
  5. I currently own 2 guitars, an Ibanez 440R (think of a Joe Satriani body shape, but with S-S-H config), which was my first guitar and my Studio Custom Ltd. Redwood. When I first started playing, I bought the Ibanez because it seemed like a good guitar price-quality wise and I liked the body shape. Then, being the gearnut that I am, I started browsing different brands and I stumbled upon Hamer and immediately fell in love with the Studio body shape. I don't think I'll buy an import guitar any time soon. Perhaps I'm a bit of a snob, but I really love the idea of owning a hand made guitar. Seeing the prices second hand Hamers are going, odds are quite high that I'll end up buying more over time, but for now, being a student, my Studio Custom has taken up a nice chunk of budget, so it would really have to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity before I splurge again (or the price would have to be ridiculously low).
  6. Sounds great! And I don't just mean the guitar, also your playing is beautiful
  7. Wow, what an amazing repair. Beautiful example of craftsmanship. Kudos to you sir!
