  1. I once bought an amp from Bubs….but then I sold it to this dude inNJ who bought it from me.
  2. Good price on a great amp that doesn’t get many negative reviews. Marshall finally gave the people what they clamored for, a lower watt true Plexi. GLWTS.
  3. …,ewww…that won’t be good for the finish…..
  4. RIP. Growin’ old ain’t for sissies, that’s for sure.
  5. Like Hendrix, he was every bit as good a rhythm player as he was a soloist. Romeo Delight has fantastic rhythm playing.
  6. Hair of Dog and the Snaz live album are fixtures for me.
  7. I am loving this amp! It just sings with a treble booster and I just love the Vox jangle when just breaking up on the edge is sublime. I find the speaker is key to this sound combined with the Vox circuit. Just so good. Versatile as well …I roll off the treble knob as it thickens right up with lower Mids. Slam that with a treble booster! Johan Segeborn did a review on YouTube describing this amp as having a magic treble knob….it is the key to the versatility, IMO.
  8. +1 on the Pete Biltoft buckers and other pickups too!
  9. Flip the mag, and flip the pickup around. A great sound..,unless you are a guitarist like me who LOVES the in-between in phase tone….I need that chime….
  10. I really dig Copeland and Collins. The Showdown album with Cray is a top 5 blues album for me.
  11. The Peaveys are fantastic and look great with a deep amber color..,call Peavey Parts and Service.
  12. The MiniJunior High Gain I had Brian make in 2022 is essentially a 20 watt Emplexador using 6v6s and in an oversized Princeton Reverb cab. A rocker.
  13. This is so very true! When a song goes stratospheric and everyone collapses into smiles and laughter at the end because it was just so good and emotions take over. Love that feeling, and you post encapsulates the feeling exactly.
  14. Thanks for this, Chris! I did love that guitar and 0006 finally got me over losing it….!
  15. I turn 61 next month and could crank out a 4 hour set at a local bar easily…,it is still that fun for me…but…I will not play for free unless it is at church. I quit gigging to start recording originals cause with a day job, there was not enough time to do it all. I’ll start a new album in January and I am getting the itch to form a band again…,I have the vocalist already who plays good rhythm guitar….so I just need a drummer and bassist. We’ll see . I don’t miss herding cats and finding/scheduling gigs. I do enjoy going to local jams for 3-5 songs for fun supporting a blues society. When I slam a chord the love of the 18 year old me playing guitar comes right back,
  16. Happy birthday to a true craftsman and a rocker! Best guitar maker on Earth.
  17. People pay extra for fake scummy funk nowadays. Love it and play it. Fix it when and if it breaks. Rock that bad boy, Doug,
  18. It really is. I need to crank my Tele 12 in this thing.
