hamerhead Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 The 25th Anniversary LE got me thinking. I don't need pretty guitars. Never did. My first Hamer is the most butt-ugly gray Special on the planet and I've had it for over 25 years. Plays great, and it bumped an LP from being #1 for many years.The LE, on the other hand, is the first guitar I've gotten (in 40+years) with any serious 'wow' sh!t going on. In my personal heap of guitars, cosmetically it is on the top. It's an awesome instrument, but even if it were a dud, it'd make killer wall art.So - what's your eye candy guitar?

I went there on Military Leave for vacation/holiday in September/October '89, but if I REALLY wanted to party (and could have predicted the future), I shoulda waited until mid-late November and gone to West Berlin instead. Oh well.

Hamerica Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 For me, it would be either the 25th LE, Vector #0029 or Standard #0055. I don't really think they are "blingy" as they are nicely appointed. An understated balance of a beauty, sorta like a good looking woman that has the perfect hair, makeup knowing she is all that an' a bag of chips. Just as comfortable fishing, hunting or etc. you know your ideal dream girl and yes, she rocks - hard.
