JJ Paul
Hiya... I have been testing my 2 JJ tesla tubes with the YellowJacket adaptors just one at a time. This means that I have plugged only ONE tube in the socket, and am playing my Rivera M60 in the half-power setting. It actually sounds good - hey, I can even bypass the Weber MASS alltogether !! BUT am I at risk of damaging anything?
Guest teefus2
hmmmm. well, not sure but the y. jacket may change the impedance and definitely using one tube will change the imp. i don't think it is a good idea. the amp is meant for two power tubes, class ab/push pull. i wouldn't do it for long. AdmiralB
Won't hurt anything. The impedance will be all screwy and at any kind of volume you'll get some nasty distortion since half the waveform will be missing, but it's safe.

The thing is that the sound, both clean AND distorted sounded damn good! What I noticed is that I *had* to bypass the MASS otherwise it sounded buzzy.Anyway, both fallopians have been re-implanted in the patient, who is rawking away with gusto!
