crunchee
No affiliation. I dunno if it's all original...but it sure does look nice: http://davesguitar.com/products/gibson/melody-maker-66/
Biz Prof
Perhaps the finest color ever to grace a guitar. Faded Pelham Blue. I must admit that I never realized until I looked at the Dave's ad that the Melody Makers only had 19 frets.

I must admit that I never realized until I looked at the Dave's ad that the Melody Makers only had 19 frets. My '65 has 22 frets, and the controls on the pickguard. Hmm. More - this site http://uniqueguitar.blogspot.com/2011/02/gibson-melody-maker.html (no idea as to the authoritativeness of it) says that as of '66 Gibson changed to the SG shape, and offered a 3/4 size one. Maybe that's what DGS has?
atomicwash
My '66 SG Jr has 22 frets and a wonderful fat neck.
santellavision
Yepper, 3/4 size with 19 frets, thus, the low price. I had a Melody Maker that was 3/4 size with 19 frets back in the day. Here's a pic of the same guitar with 22 frets.
serial
And Pelham Blue was not a MM custom color in '66-the guitars were only offered in PB and Red. In '67 they added Burgundy Mist to the MMs.
