crunchee
No affiliation. Appears to me to be an '84, from looking at the serial number. Incorrectly listed as an 'Explorer' (at least they didn't call it a 'Standard'). Has a Sustain Block trem with trem arm. 'Los Angeles based' (whatever that means), auction site says that it was 'Used in Many Music Videos and stages in Los Angeles' (sez who? ): http://www.ebay.com/itm/WOW-Hamer-USA-Explorer-1980s-guitar-Excellent-Amazing-Guitar-Los-Angeles-Based-/182591907312?hash=item2a835365f0:g:WzgAAOSw8lpZJvjp Edited to add: I think it has Hamer/Schaller locking tuners, too, from the looks of the doohickies on the string posts on the front of the headstock...though I could be wrong, as I don't know squat about those types of tuners. It just needs to spend another 30 years in smoke-filled clubs for that 'nicotine yellow' color...or a LOT of clear yellow tint/toner:
