dhuber
"Light weight mystery wood" . That's the best kind of tone wood that makes all kinds of wonderful things happen.
Biz Prof
That thing has been on our CL for quite a while. It should be worth the resale value of the OFR. But no more than that. ETA: I just realized that the damn ugly thing doesn't even have an OFR, but rather a crappy, pot metal, non-locking Floyd Rose II. Sheesh. That means he should pay someone else $100 to take it away. singlehum
Those import guitars were (badly) based on Alexi Belov's (of Gorky Park, obviously) custom Kramers. There were a few being built for him in New Jersey (in the Spector shop, I believe) that weren't finished yet when Kramer went out of business. I know of three of those that are now privately owned. Neck-through, angled ebony fretboard with 31 frets. The jack is located in cutout on the back of the body, along with a countersunk metal slug to balance the guitar. Get your balalaika on!
