Dasein
I thought it would be neat to compile all the old guitar mag Hamer model reviews etc after finding this for the Sunburst Archtop in Guitar World from 1992. Montelovesco
Great review, and not ond word to add. Just one question: The wiring mentioned here - was it standard later on or did they go back to the classic LP wiring? I am thinking about my Custom.... DaveL
Ever notice the stellar reviews and editors choice award in guitar player, followed a few pages later by a full page Hamer ad? Not that the guitars weren't worthy but have always wondered about how the publishers/media need to pay the light bill aligns with editorial content. Biz Prof
I get where you are coming from, especially with the ad placement. However, the fact is that Hamer was buying full page ads in every issue back then in the "Modern Vintage" era. IIRC, Gibson and PRS were frequently in the priciest spots...inside the cover pages. Andrew
There a few old ones here: http://www.buddlejagarden.co.uk/hamer/other.htm I have more to add some day, and also I should update the format - very 1990s.
