Jeff R
My daily search for potential resto project guitar husks abroad for the shop turned up this today. Oh. My. God. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gibson-Explorer-Project-1983-U-Fix-/272839664120?hash=item3f8682e1f8:g:4NsAAOSw~9BZsxBU

cynic
The belly cut makes me think it's gone through a couple rounds of mods. It almost looks like a variation of their Sharkfin:
Disturber
If you buy both that one, and this Hamer, then you will have a pair like no other. You will be the coolest guy on this message board. Go for it! http://www.ebay.de/itm/80s-HAMER-SCARAB-made-in-USA-SCALLOPED-NECK-/122678220768?hash=item1c903117e0:g:5fYAAOSwd4tT4gw-

Steve Haynie
Someone was a fan of Washburn headstocks when they butchered that Gibson.

crunchee
DGS had a 'nice' one (condition-wise ) for sale about a week or so ago. IIRC, it sold quickly, the same day it was posted on the website. Apparently for Seven Fitty. http://davesguitar.com/products/gibson/corvus-iii-83/ There's just no accounting for taste. ARM OF HAMER
That is just wrong on so many levels!.......................even that one that sold at DAVE'S. [Everything turns up at his store sooner or later] A "V" or a Explorer shape is wild departure for me...............I did try owning a Gibson "HERITAGE "V " for awhile and sold it after about a year, same with one of the early Steinbergers when our KNUT KOUPEE here in Minnesota got those in. I really liked the sound but it was another guitar exploration that was short lived.I know where there is a Gibby "MARAUDER" for sale right now.............any takers? IF you did there wouldn't be much wood left after the rout.
