Talladega with bound fingerboard, who has one? And who has 755 755?

Having recently become the owner of a very nice Talladega Aztec Gold with a BOUND fingerboard, nicknamed "Irma" (see the other post: greetings from Sint Maarten) makes me wonder who else has a Talladega with a bound fingerboard (so not the Talladega Pro as these invariably have a bound fingerboard) as apparently there are not too many around.

At this moment I am aware of only 4 Talladega's with a bound neck.

Of course there is the famous nightfire Tally (still owned by KofSeattle?). This one has a very nice binding on the body AND the neck and is a very nice guitar to see.

Also I have seen an incredible jazzburst Talladega ordered (and sold) by BCR-Greg a couple of years ago. Looking good.

And I found a 59-burst with a curly or quilted maple top sold by Gruhn. Great guitar.

Now the remarkable thing about this last guitar is that the serial no. is 755 754, while mine is 755 756.

So therefore I am also wondering whether the USA Hamer with serial no. 755 755 is in the HFC family and whether it is also a Talladega with a bound neck?

If you have one or know of one, please let all of us know  (preferably with pics). I did not add pics of my guitars as there are some in the other post.

Gabe :)

PS: With or without neck binding, all Tally's (or is it Tallies?) are fantastic guitars!

My  remaining Tally has the "Ultimate Flame" top and full binding. Not adjacent, as the # starts 85.....

My pair (matching Tally and Tally Pro with Tiger Eye Quilt, BRW and "Ultimate Package") both had the full binding. They were my personal "Hamer Holy Grail" chase, but they are now in someone else's capable hands.

IIRC correctly, my EM Tally did NOT have a bound board.

Never met a Tally I did not love.

Agree 100%.

Now that is a beautiful pair! Very nice quilt tops, the Talladega even more  so than theTalladega Pro!

Yep, love every Talladega I've had - amazing guitars.  My Trans Black Talladega is the last regular one right now (still have my Pro).   It does NOT have a bound neck and is #855927.

Kim had mentioned the estimated total production numbers a couple of times regarding the Talladega's and the Pro's combined - it really wasn't that many.  I think he said there were around 50 Pro's crafted and maybe just under 150 regular Talladega's.  Hell, I can't remember for sure - ugh.

So considering the Talladega's fairly low overall production numbers to begin with - I'm pretty sure neck binding moves you squarely into the rare category.
