Caddie
remarkable if ya'll gots $10,000 +/- lotsa $K. After we wiped the slobber off our faces, me and my wing man couldn't remember if the dude said $15k or $25K. We both blacked out on re-entry. We both have vague recallections of being in a round humming, non-smoking room with extremely bright white light, temp & humidity controlled of course &, being examined by Courtney Love and Keith Moon and a few other name less aliens. We both think that at some point there was a small dental mirror had been stuck in our hollowbody f-holes. Once we both came around and could stand upright, we discovered that our socks had been knocked off, sleeves had been ripped off our jackets and shirts and we had Joey Ramones tattoos on our shoulders. Weird. Hey Keith, can I have a swig from your bottle of Jack? Cheers! caddie

django49
How things have changed! Looks so much like the one I picked up around 1969 or 1970 for, literally, $175. Would I not love to get THAT one back. Damn I miss those days!
JohnnyThunders
I was in Sam’s ass the other day and they has these two, like the price is nuts but 1000 for shipping! https://used.samashmusic.com/product/1957-stratocaster/ https://used.samashmusic.com/product/1956-fender-esquire-blonde-ash-with-original-hards/
DanD
I'm surprised to see that the ES175 still has the factory pups. Swapping the pups for '57 Classics would nearly pay for the whole guitar. Not that I'd do that but most every ES XXX I've seen lately from the late 50s and early '60s has had the pups 're-purposed'. Dave's just had a '59 Switchmaster, with you guessed it, 3 x '57 Classics. http://davesguitar.com/products/gibson/es-5-switchmaster-59/

Shhhh....Snowden sold them back to China where they came from. Don't do it, just don't, don't you dare label this a politically charged posting. '56 Esquire - Same deal with the bridge cover, aka ashtray. Is that it? Somebody removes the ashtray to adjust the barrels. While they are doing that they use it for what it was designed to do, its a great ashtray! But the cover plates thing bothers me. Are they buried near Jimmy Hoffa? Maybe like the Elves who worked on the Cobblers shoes overnight, Leo's Elves gather up the discarded cover plates and ashtrays and deliver them to an orange Public Storage unit in Fullerton, CA. Yer Honor, I gots no idea who took 'em or where'd they go? Hey, where'd my attorney go?
