BEST PLAYING GUITAR? Hmmmmmm.........

Recommended Posts

My Heritage 535 is the most fun to play unplugged just banging around. The '95 blue Studio is a favorite. It plays equally well as the 535 but I plug it in more. My most played is the parts caster I got from The Shark. It may not be as easy to play because of the FB radius and neck carve but it's also awesome.

Gap between bottom of unfretted string and apex of 12th fret: Treble "E," 2/64"; Bass "E", 3/64."

The beauty of a humongous fret is liquid low effortless action under the fingertips but enough airspace between the string, frets and the fretboard surface to get your fingers around and "under" the strings (if that makes sense) for bending and especially vibrato with control and authority.

Oh, it makes perfect sense but it's sad that it's not the norm everywhere.

Apart from the Newport and what my friend says, I have this guitar. It plays and sounds fantastically well.

Cool! What's Phil's Lester like?

It is a really good (and heavy like most of the good ones) Norlin era Les Pauls.

Lots of love and gigs with that guitar.

Phil Keaggy's sister is my neighbor, Vinny (V-picks) brought Phil over, it was all a hoot when all went down.

Phil checking out my 30th anny GT...
