PSA: Fender MIJ Mahogany Offset Telecaster

Recommended Posts

No affiliation.  Mahogany body AND neck...and yes, it's a bolt on neck.  Price seems nice at eight bills brand new, I wonder how much they'll wind up going for on the used market?  The photos on the online Fender listing don't really give me the same impression as one that's already at a guitar shop, IMO...there's one at DGS, and I'm sure there's more that are at other music shops right now, I'm just posting this as an example of what's out there right at the moment:

You would be surprised on just how tele they still are and how comfy they play. I'd hit it!

Yours is more Tele than the one for sale.

Mahogany body and neck, P-90 neck pickup...  That's not a Tele.

My JazzRatt is a Telemaster and it sounds EXACTLY like a Tele...the right bridge, Electronics, scale length, and wood species do it. Only the body shape and headstock are different.

The only thing I do not like about the long scale offset, is that they do not fit in a regular case. I have a triple guitar case I take to gigs, and this one doesn't fit. I bought a bass gig bag for traveling to gigs and rehearsal. The Hog one interests me at this price point and the 10" radius would be a better fit to play slid on. Pull that P90 out and put in a Firebird neck pickup!
