formula73
This has been bugging me for a while. I've got an Ashdown Blue bass combo and it always hums pretty loud. Apparently this is a problem with many of their amps. I remember reading somewhere that it's the power cord's lack of shielding but I have absolutely no idea where to get one that's a little beefier. It sounds great for a little combo and the $100 I paid for it but this is driving me nuts. Any ideas?
tafkathundernotes
I had a Hartke that hummed a lot. I found a cracked solder joint on one of the big filter caps inside. It was a simple fix. I don't think it's your power cord.
formula73
I remember where I read about the hum: Harmony Central. It's 60 cycle hum and somebody got rid of it with a RFI noise suppressor. What the hell is that?
