BCR Greg
Schaller on everything.I dowel in the hole and redrill for the Schaller screw(which is smaller), and use loctite(or nail polish) on the treads of the strap nuts.NEVER had a problem. Guest JackButler
Over the years I've used the Schallers, Dunlops and the DiMarzio strap system. I've never had one release or break/malfunction, regarless of brand. I am a stickler for checking things out constantly and for maintenence though. I do like the Dunlop dual designs though, you know....just in case you have a blonde moment and forget to pack your strap while juggling kids, dinner, homework and packing for a gig...the dual designs work like regular strap buttons in a pinch. Mike_C
I see that Dunlop has two kinds...the original and the dual design system...either one better than the other?Erik THe nice thing about the dual design is that it acts as a regular strap button if you don't have the lock end on your strap. The original design was just a cylinder type with barely any lip so no use if you forgot your strap or didn't have a locking end. BTW I love the dunlops. anybody else remember the leather kind of strap lock?
