This showed up today, it's always Christmas over here :)

After some control cavity surgery redoing the worst soldering I've personally seen, replacing bad volume pots, making the tone no load, this thing sounds pretty great! Really beautiful feel to it, heavy! It's got Gibson pickups, they measure around 5.8k each..sounds really good for a first play, old nasty strings so this can only get better.

Will order a good replacement nut tonight.. I'm really digging the gold pickups with the matching metal frames, I know that's not ideal electrically but as is it sounds pretty good!

I have no idea how this ended up in the rules section and I don't know how to move it, sorry

What is the Outer Circle and why can't I see it?

The Outer Circle is one of the forums on the Hamer Fan Club. It is the forum devoted to any topic that is not music-related. Nothing is off bounds, but common decency is still required. Because of the potential for off color topics, PARENTAL GUIDENCE IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED.

All supporting members have access to the Outer Circle. Those wishing to become a Supporting Member can make a small contribution (however much you can afford or feel its worth) via PayPal hfc@hikarate.com or by check to the HFC Server Fundto help defray hosting and licensing costs.

Because we get so many spammers from around the world trying to gain entry into the Forums (at least a dozen or so daily), we must require that you manually enter some relevant information in your profile - anything will do - or send an email to me ( chris at hamerfanclub dot com )in order to approve you as a Member. This has been posted in our HFC FAQs for years, but some people seem to have had a tough time finding that.

This applies mostly to anyone using a free or "throwaway" email service, like gmail, hotmail or yahoo. If there is nothing in your profile to identify you as a Hamer player, owner, fan, or whatever and your email and/or user ID don't turn up in a Google search, your account will sit in the Validation queue for 10 days and is then automatically deleted by the system. There is simply no way for us to tell your profile apart from the increasingly clever spam army out there.

We're not collecting any of your information here, we just need a way to confirm that you're a real prospective member and not some Spambot in Belarus...

The main HFC Message Board is for topics regarding guitars, amps, and other gear, as well as music in general. Items of human interest concerning our members are also encouraged to be posted here or in the Outer Circle as appropriate. Use your own common sense.

All topics not related to the above go on Outer Circle board.

All advertisements for items wanted to buy, being sold, traded, or given away belong on the For Sale board. Don't hijack threads trying to sell stuff to people. If you want to contact them and offer something, use the PM or email features.

Above all, treat others here with the same courtesy you expect to receive, put simply for those who may not grasp this simple concept, DON'T BE A DICK.
