  2. All, I had a gig last night at a speakeasy called Hamers. Didn't play a Hamer as it was an acoustic gig. But, just a simple share. https://hamersspeakeasy.com/

  3. I respect your perspective but the person who bought Zorrow’s will have it in his hands within a matter of days or whatever he and @zorrow worked out. It is a beautiful guitar and I think the buyer is a lucky dude.

  5. Friends growing up were huge Scorpions fans and had all of the important vinyl. Even as a young boy seeing that for the first time, I found it disturbing.

  6. I will likely be passing through Lillooet this summer if the seller won’t ship.

  7. Some people aren't true Hamer Fans and have lost money on investments instead of playing their guitars.

  8. Well, we had a great visit with my long time friend. He did buy the IC chips and MOST the other parts but we couldn't buy the few he didn't have from an electronics store because they were closed. Yes, apparently they still have those at least in silicone valley (and I'm not talking the San Fernando Valley, as if!!) We did play guitar, drink beer and go on a nice motorcycle ride so all was not lost! I got to ride his Triumph Speed Twin 1200 which was nice but smaller than I thought. I'm 5-11 but felt cramped. I hadn't ridden for maybe 5 years after selling my Ducati Monster. I took care of my mom back then during her last years so my riding time stopped. I found it hard to believe it had been 5 years! Will be getting something new fairly soon. He also gave me an EVM 12L speaker in great shape which will replace the Celestion 12T-75 in my Canadian Thiele Cab. That's what those were built around as I understand it. Someone had given it to him and he gave it to me. Score! Anyone here make that circuit?

  9. No affiliation. Price is CAD, as they are located in Lillooet, BC, Canada. "1986 Hamer USA guitar pickups from a Hamer USA Scepter and a Hamer USA Scepter V , both sets in excellent condition asking $200 per set or $350 for both. o.b.o" https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1347556223858397/

  10. I found this Gibson Spirit : https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/gibson-spirit-e-gitarre-80er-jahre-original-zustand-sunburst/3404257650-74-8126?utm_source=copyToPasteboard&utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_medium=social&utm_content=app_ios This is Hamer‘s Sunburst origin, isn‘t it? I get identical GAS symptoms!

  11. I've never heard of the Spirit. I thought it was a Sunburst at first. Looks cool. I would not buy a Gibson unless I played it first though. That goes for a Sunburst as well.

  12. The illustrator in me tended to respond more to painted/airbrushed art more so than covers featuring photography. For instance: Richard Corben's art for Bat Out Of Hell: Or this Drew Struzan's art for Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (which does feature some titties but an absence of genitalia)

  13. ... at least at my home: Recently I discovered this beautiful neon sign (not LED!). I suspect that it is from the 80s or 90s. I even had to buy a step-down transformer to be able to use it. Amazing that it survived all these years unharmed. With more than 40 Hamer guitars in my collection, it seemed to me to be the cherry on top. I hope you like it too.

  15. Anderson is as much of a "humbler" as Danny Gatton, Roy Clark and Roy Buchanan were. Highlight of the first guitar show I ever worked for VG Magazine (Atlanta 1990) was a jam session with Steve Morse, Jeff Berlin and Anderson. He's one of Kentucky's best kept secrets

  18. No. Rick didn’t give somebody a checkerboard Hamer V. He gave them one of the three checkerboard Flying Vs that Gibson gave him close to a decade ago. He never really played any of those - live or otherwise, and although I’ve seen him show up at a Rock’n Vodka event a time or two wit one of the marching checkerboard Explorers that Gibson also gave him at the same time, I can’t say that I’ve ever seen him playing any of those onstage either. Although he hasn’t bashed them, the fact that he won’t play them, but has given a few away kind of speaks volumes about how they aren’t his Hamers. Rick does have a dead on copy of his Checkerboard Hamer V that was built by Mark Grant in the fall of 2022 (along with a second one built for Michael Adamany), and he’s been playing that live a good bit and it shows up regularly in his stage rack. It was built using his original V as a template and for measurements. His original hasn’t been onstage since the very early ‘80s. It currently resides at the Rockford Hard Rock Casino. The Reverb one has long been confirmed as a conversion by two of the people who would know (one is actually named “Hamer”), and I remember seeing it listed for sale in a VG classified in the ‘90s. It’s really cool, but not one of Rick’s and it didn’t leave the factory like that,

  21. Because we don't give airtime to people who have been confirmed as scamming any of our members. People can go other places for that.
