Prices seem pretty decent to me at the moment. Reverb is the place to sell if you're willing to ship, Ebay auction is for if you just want to get rid of it, and don't mind 'giving it away'. - I'm told by my friend who buys/sells all sorts of stuff for a living (including guitars and amps). FB marketplace for local sales (if you live in a populated area), Craigslist is searched much less than FB, but still worth posting there too for those buyers who aren't on FB. I've been flipping a fair amount of stuff recently: sometimes it takes several weeks of 'market exposure', acoustic guitars and basses are slow movers. Expect some irritatingly lowball offers on FB, decline those and within a week or two you'll probably have a reasonable buyer. I recently added "local (my city) meetup only please" to my listings, that has reduced my drive times for sale meetups. I always ask for "cash only please" too, makes for a clean done-deal.2 points

No that pickup isn't original to the guitar................like the Kahler it was an aftermarket part. PICs from the listing before I bought it.2 points

Here's some Rawk N' Roll bar trivia to ponder: Who was known for 'devil horns', and played trumpet for girl group The Angels on this chart hit? My Boyfriend's Back (song) - Wikipedia2 points

The expanded Live At Leeds is so great, they were ferocious sounding live from ~69 to ~72. Isle Of Wight has some great footage; https://youtu.be/M9boFzhUVG42 points

This pedal is advertised as David Gilmour in a box. A buddy of mine is downsizing a ton of his gear and I grabbed this one from him to try out. Great pedal, not my style. Never played out of the house. In great shape. Velcro on the bottom. Brand new sweetwater has these listed for $299. Cheapest one I see used on Reverb is $200 shipped. He gave me a deal so Iโll pass that along. Iโll let it go here for SOLD PPFF if you donโt mind.1 point

I live in an apt. Have bought and sold 2 pairs of Boss Waza-Air headphones. They work great but I found them to be uncomfortable and was concerned about blowing out my hearing. So when I saw these PG Spark NEO headphones I jumped on them, even though I suspect they may have the same problems. I have been using open-air headphones I am more comfortable with, with an older version of Boss Katana GO or headphones connected to Spark Go amp, but anything that makes it easier to pick up guitar and play is worth it to me. (I may be lazy.) I don't care about the A.I. that is included, but am curious about it. First thing I plan to do is type in "Diamonds and Rust from Unleashed in the East" and see what happens. I will report back, hopefully sooner than I have reported on the Strandberg that has been hanging on my wall for the last month. Maybe at the same time!1 point

Cool setup: Keeley's boxes in this format are amazing and sound fantastic. I had the Delay Workstation in this series, and it was consistently amazing.1 point

1 hour ago, svl said: "That was made in 1980 for the W&CF tour, well after the invention of the Frankenstein..." Which definitely coincides with the "no brown M&M's" rider line item.1 point

I'm not 4-Imprint certain, just from what I've read in various bios/gear blogs. I could be wrong and probably am. I was referring to the red/white/black respray of his original Boogie Bodies build. I'm probably wrong here, too, but that's the beauty of the internet. There's always somebody who knows the truth to what one posts.1 point

I also have a Spark Neo in route. I've been through many a practice aid in my many years, but I've really bonded with the Spark gear and app interface and use it all the time. Yes, I have a Spark amp and some wired headphones which works fine sitting down. But all the wires seem to conflict when practicing standing up (which I need to do more of) and I end up fighting them. The Neo would seem to solve that issue, so I'm giving it a go.1 point

Prices are rising for those late 70s Sunbursts, we all know that, it started years ago. That natural '79 on Reverb is 3.5 K with the "make offer" available. That means you may get it for about 3 k. Is it too much? Well, it's more than what you paid years ago for your '79 Sunburst, but it's less than what you will pay in the years to come, so it would be a safe investment. I have a very similar Sunburst, a natural '79 with amazing flame top. Would I sell it for 3 K? No way. I could only get one of those lower budget custom shop with that money, but I would put my Sunburst against ANY custom shop ANY day.1 point

I remember Gracins in L.I.N.Y. were the big dealers for BC Rich back then. $981 for that was a good price. Cheaper than my 1981 Standard Bass.1 point

I know of a few users of Axe body spray that stink to high heaven of the stuff. Nobody here on the HFC that I know of, though.1 point

Someone must buy this goofy expensive KISS shit because they keep making and selling it. I can't believe they sold any of the ~$4k Gene's Vault cd set. And I like classic KISS.1 point

I take that to mean everyone was having so much fun no one thought to get a photo. You know, like things were before devices became ubiquitous?1 point

Sadly enough, I feel there will be a surge in used musical instruments sales soon ๐ข1 point

I'm selling stuff on consignment. Just sold an amp and guitar. Made money on one, lost a few hundy on another. Didn't have ship/pack, etc., so that's a win in my book. A few more guitars and two amps to come... Market seems a little soft lately. Prices aren't tanking, but muhfuggas are still posting higher prices for premium gear. I don't know if they're getting asking. This is why I like early-80s, Japan replicas. Very high quality for low/mid-level pricing.1 point

Bump with corrections made. I found the original sales receipt from Sam Ash Music (not Manny's) and my big brother paid $981 for it back on May 8th, 1981. Wisdom beyond his years for a 19 year old.1 point

I'll be checking this out soon - I have 7 0094. Very likely that this originally came through Gaslight Music in Bondi, as did mine https://guitarfactory.com.au/collections/pre-owned-vintage/products/1977-hamer-sumburst-usa1 point

Hoff Wolfman might need to "accept" a more reasonable price.1 point

Hard pass. I dig Wolf's style with it's nods to neo-classical style and some moderately quirky touches. But I wouldn't place him in the upper echelon of shredders or innovators. Lastly, if it ain't got 27 frets, it ain't a Cali, to me.1 point

The chili's done and stewing. Just made a wiener run to Everett's and dug out the grill. We got a couple inches of snow yesterday, so things are looking good for the Frozen Jam tomorrow afternoon!1 point

It depends on where Missus Polara gets a job (biotech). Probably Malmรถ, but maybe Helsingborg. All very exciting and stressful!1 point

Hey... What kind of party is this, exactly? (Asking for a friend).1 point
-
No, but I saw them in 1989 in the amphitheater they played in Atlanta when Pete responded to the crowd's urging for another encore by telling us to go home and get some sleep. Other whipping-up-the-enthusiam remarks were some head shakes about how, without Keith, it was no longer like it used to be. We young bucks missed all the good times.1 point

This thing belongs on the wall at a music themed chain restaurant, preferably one that serves meatball hoagies, as that's what it brings to mind๐๐ค1 point
