Your welcome. Carl brought it over the very next morning. Put on some new strings and a did a minor truss rod adhustment. What a beautiful, great sounding Artist. I tried to get him to leave it here.
Here's a Joe Bonomassa story:
Joe grew up near to where I live. There would be articles in the newspaper time-to-time about hime when he was like 14 and 16 years old but I never got to see him play then. Anyways my friend advertises his Stratocaster for sale in the paper. This guy comes over...
Jeroen,
I can't offer too much insight. Dan Dishaw runs a small guitar store out of the lower level of his house here in the central part of NY state. Over 20 years ago I bought a new Fender 52 RI and later a Marshall amp from him. He had some nice items in inventory and was set up very...
Johnny is probably my favorite guitarists, always will be. He's slowed considerably to a style I'd consider to be a mature blues man. I saw his brother Edgar last year and he's here again June 4 for a downtown free outdoor concert. By contrast he's still a ball of fire. He has as much energy...
Scanning posts and hey--that sunburst Studio is my guitar! Its also chambered. Of all my guitars (too many) it is my best sounding. I'll probably be buried with it.
Saw Joe 6 days ago. Great show, I really enjoyed it. Joe is originally from my area and his parents were in the front row of this show. He was trying to get even louder reactions from the audience, so he lamented "you're embarrasing me in front of my mom and dad".
A story I found amusing...
I've always enjoyed Roy Buchanan's work. Unfotunately I never got to see him in person. He's certainly been inspirational to a lot of his own contemporaries.
Not to detract from Roy, but here's another approach to the great song Hey Joe by Popa Chubby which I personally like:
I haven't taken any digital pictures of my Chevelle since I restored it myself (frame-off) a few years back. I should scan some of the old photos I took when I was 18. That was more years ago than I'll confess to. When I bought it I really didn't know what I had. I did get a speeding ticket...
My first car was a 1970 Dodge Challenger. Got it (used) when I was 17. Sold it when I was 18 and bought a 1970 LS6 Chevelle. Fortunately I still have it.
I suspect guitar and car guys are one in the same.
