  1. You got it right — most of the early (ash, first two -3 years or so) Daytonas were heavy, but some were not. The last 2 years or so were alder, typically lighter.
  2. Seems like a decent enough deal. The RW board is a plus to me however the skunk stripe and peghead plug don’t look right with the spaghetti logo.
  3. The extended range guitar appears to be a Reichardt. https://www.reichardtguitars.com/body
  4. Nice looking bass but at 11# it’d be a pain in the neck to sling over one’s shoulder.
  5. Nice top, belly cut, looks unfutzed with https://www.guitarcenter.com/Used/Hamer/Vintage-1995-Studio-Solid-Body-Electric-Guitar.gc
  6. Hey @Jeff R I like the concentric controls on the bass! Please elaborate on the extended range guitar you’re holding in the first set of photos. Lastly, I’d always heard that BG’s strat had a built in wireless, sounds like it would be a PITA/asking for trouble.
  7. Agreed, looks like a V shaped crack originating from the treble side anchor bolt for the Floyd nut. What a horrible design that was to drill two holes through the neck at that location.
  8. Wow. This article states that Eddie’s bumblebee guitar is buried with Dimebag Darrel!? Who knew?
  9. Speaking of overpriced Gibsons with Kirk’s seal of approval: there’s the Peter Green>Gary Moore>Kurk Murphy aged LP STD, complete with a simulated headstock repair — $50 K! But it did include a meet ‘n’ greet with Wahwah Hammett hisself
  10. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a mahogany back with the grain so nicely centered- beautiful!
  11. VGC, NICE mahogany back https://www.davesguitar.com/products/newport-recent?_pos=1&_psq=hamer&_ss=e&_v=1.0
  12. I’ve not seen too many black T-51’s. Black with a black pickguard looked cool, like the one in Rick’s hands in the old “Life’s too short for a crappy guitar” ad.
  13. For those who missed it, BITD with Glamtera Dime’s handle was “Diamond Darrell’.
  14. @Dave Scepter: I posted this link when I first saw this video (unsure if you've seen it). Check out the first guitar outta the case. "Headstock was a deal breaker."
  15. Welp, at least she’s already hogged out for the bucker and hopefully the acoustic voice hasn’t been neutered
  16. Thanks, interesting. My Jr. is also a 2004 with s/n 4534XX and came with the Schaller tulip tuners (I ditched ‘em). Great color on yours! FWIW, Check the screws that anchor the P-90 pickup in your photos (and when the guitar arrives). When I purchased my guitar NOS in 2014, instead of roundhead nickel mtg. screws the P-90 mtg. screws were small black flathead screws, almost like short pickup mounting ring screws for a humbucker (I replaced the black screws on mine). The screws in the photos of your guitar also appear to have black heads. Also, unless there’s some ‘funny grain’ in the top LH corner of the pickguard of your guitar it appears that the plastic is still attached (to the pickguard). At any rate, ENJOY!
  17. Looks like an early one with the Schaller keystone tuners. Is the S/N close to 4534XX?
  18. I want to see a 12 string bass with a Thunderbird style headstock.
