  1. Wonderful and sad at the same time.
  2. And it will all be in Book #3
  3. It's Sunburst week at Hamer.
  4. Gary does amazing finishes. I heard that he used to do custom paint on cars before this, and that he worked at PPG. Not sure if that's true or not, but it would explain all the fantastic finishes he's created.
  5. Sure. Just as long as I get mine with 23-1/2 frets, and pups too far to the left.
  6. Well then, allow me to now submit my order for a mahogany Standard done up in replica of the 4 digit on the cover of the Book, with the burst finish, poker chip toggle cover, bound, crowned but with a Floyd Rose, 24 frets, and reverse head stock. Mmmm. Make mine with 23-1/2 frets
  7. The HFC Saturday Custom Order Shop!
  8. As I said in another thread: The Hamer Shop boys make other custom shops look like Ass. Edited to add: Lately especially.
  9. This too:
  10. Been gigging with this lately:
  11. I had the same Peavey in 1978. Had a fuzz tone that never shut off and a Peavey 2-15 cab. Crap.
  12. HAMER The Ultimate assembly of craftsmen
  13. Id'n that what 0000 steel wool is for? You can always buff it back out to shiny if you go easy with the steel wool. Not the same. Steel wool has oils in it. Plus take a nine volt battery and stick the leads into it and see what happens. Bm Dear Jackass,Do not tell people to touch 9 volt batteries to steel wool,I just burned my house down! Vzzzzzt!
  14. I think he may be a maple tree whisperer. Does it even before they cut it down.
  15. 0000 steel wool from the hardware store works well, yes.
  16. 8 & 12 string bass headstocks are the same. But yeah, we all show up and compare headstocks
  17. I Love seeing these ^^^^^^^^ This is exactly what I hoped I'd see when I started this thread. This is truly a behind the scenes look at the best craftsmen and their labors of love.
  18. Is this the very last one? It would be nice if the very last Hamer were a Standard. I'd like to see it and #0000 in a photo shoot. #0000 to #356432 1974 to 2013 39 years in the making.
  19. Can it be Black Transparent? Can it be a Standard Bass?
  20. Bittersweet couldn't be more meaningful than right now.
