  1. PMs sent on the Newport. Well, actually TWO PMs... I will have to part from some of my stuff, but it looks like I can't resist.
  2. Sounds a bit like Europe. I prefer Unruly Child....
  3. Gorch, you can't do THAT! Argl! NEIDanfall (German for 'heavy envy attack')... :-)
  4. Received my copy today - after five weeks of waiting. My family won't see me for some time, I guess...
  5. Can't believe it. Amazon says: Will be shipped until 27 of August....!
  6. Wow - that Google translator thing really works. Everything correct. Even the price
  7. Well... Take a closer look at the sixth picture (the one from the back). Looks like there is crack at least in the finish...
  8. Thought someone might be interested in, even if the price is a bit steep IMHO... Hamer Cali Elite No affiliation, of course...
  9. No experience with the guitars (even if I am tempted IF one shows up on ebay Germany), but that little v3m amp is a cool, versatile little machine....
  10. Say, who did that "Tone to the Bone"-logo, the skeleton with the standard? Is that a Hamer thing?
  11. @RobB: How useful is that Detox EQ-thing? Saw it recently in the used corner of a shop but was unsure...
  12. Short notice from Utah: They have a beer called "Polygamy Porter", the claim goes "Why have just once?". Beside that it is not that bad...
  13. Lookin at the pictures - especially that one with the violet one - I probably should reconsider my position about Shredders, FRs and Superstrats...
  14. Next test run: Golden Trout; found it in Lee Vining, close to Yosemite. Relatively light, but nice.
  15. One result after some try outs - Anchor Steam Beer (SF) is fine, and not so strong as the IPA I had recently...
  16. Okay, I followed your suggestion and tried (better: I am trying) one of the locals: Chaotic Double. Made by Manzanita Brewin Co. in Santee, San Diego. Heavy Stuff. Heavier than an German bock or double bock I think, with 10,1% alcohol. Whew. To say it with Joanna Dean: Once is enough...
  17. Woke up, first thing to do is to look the thread. Guys, you are the best, thanks for all the answers. I will try my very best - last man standing... :-) And for the Hell beer - Kevin, thats cool, I will be back on this as soon I am back in G. Maybe I can send you some local stuff from my hometown.
  18. For fun and knowing that I might start a holy war: Now I have the chance to test some US made beers, and I wonder what's the most recommended. I started with Coors (by accident, and not so bad for someone who is used to bavarian beer) and bought some Miller High Life (in memory of the Miller guitar made by Hamer). Any ideas? Please stick to brands I can easily get in bottles or cans, since I don't have the chance to get out very often.
  19. Is Robin Beck and "The very first time" power pop or just mediocre rubbish? Whatever it is, I like both, the song and the solo. And in any case, it is veeeerrrrrry 80ties.
  20. Sorry for not reacting, but after a Vanguard in January and a Monaco today (not talking about the guitars I might find during our US tour in Summer) I guess I am finally out...
  21. I'll put Lollars in - for the beginning. I have not much experience with upgrading PUs....
  22. The boost is cool, even if the switch is a little misplaced. It kicks the amp a little further without overdoing it. But I am still waiting for the new PUs...
