This is the only post on the board that has caught my attention since arriving in Aruba on Sunday. Have a good laugh with this one guys, back to the Patron Silver for me ArnieZ

Plus not all the pickups had the same # of windings, as they were hand wound without counters. Also intersting is that the landmark tones were achieved in instruments that had aged also changing the formula. I have never obsessed about getting an exact copy of a tone, just one that is convincing in spirit and application. ArnieZ

My wife is generally encouraging when she knows it's something I really want. She has more of a "live for today " philosophy than I do. I generally fell a little guilty spending on myself, though I've been able to overcome that fairly often As of now I have never used any monies other than my own crazy money. My wife did buy me an Artist Korina for my 50th, and while I was overjoyed with the guitar I was a little upset that she used $ from the household. When she told me it was a choice between the guitar or a party, I shut up! She's really been great about my indulgences. ArnieZ

Obviously crowns and TV Jones pups are upcharges. What is the retail vs. street? You should probably expect a litlle less than the usual markdown because it was custom ordered. ArnieZ

I guess kind of like a 336, the copy says solid center block, double bound body. Very cool for sure! ArnieZ

I don't use a Hotplate but I do use a Z Airbrake. Lets me get more of what I want out of my amps at home. Fortunately for the public I don't gig! ArnieZ

Congratulations! and Welcome! Lyle Workman's guitar does look like a nice piece don't it? I think I would shoot for a Monaco lll with an Ultimate maple top either ultimate or multistripe binding f holes included and Lollar P90's or may antiquities. That would cover the greatest tone and bling variety IMO. ArneiZ

My wife claims, rightfully, that she has never heard me play a song the whole way through. I've played 2 gigs in our 28 years of marriage and I must say she was really into both ot them depite my lousy playing. Don't feel underappreciated, it is probably much less important to her than to you. How do you feel about window treatments etc? ArnieZ
