Have you tried any of the Apple means to track your devices? http://www.apple.com/icloud/find-my-iphone.html Not sure if the Galaxy has that too. I'd guess that the jerks who got your kid's phone looked at his GPS history, maybe found some pics of your gear and other valuables at home, and put two and two together. You could also try your cell phone provider or ISP, they might be able to discover something. Good luck! MarkB

For me it is just too many things to think about, and my playing suffers (goes from sucky to really sucky.) I do somewhat better when someone else (even my 9 year old kid) is pushing the buttons and I can just play. Re the original post, I think that sounds pretty good for a first time, going direct. Maybe my ears are too used to the modern, uber-squashed sound, but I wonder if a little more compression would help make the whole mix sound more up front, if that makes any sense. That would help bring up the overall level, too, which wouldn't hurt. Regardless, a nice job!

Kind of a mash-up of the last two syllables of my last name with "guit" on the front. I think one of the bass players I used to play with originally came up with it. Mark

I only ask this as someone who has in a brain fog actually done it wrong--are you sure you turned the truss rod nut the right way? Worth double checking before doing something drastic or expensive. MarkB -

I had a meeting with Kissinger the day after that aired. He was still laughing about it. I hadn't brought any Hamers along, so I didn't have a chance to get his opinion about whether I was better than Colbert, Frampton or the guy from the Decembrists, which is probably good since the only thing I can shred is cheese MarkB

There is always the custom order route, if you can't find a double P-90 one used. Several dealers here on the board could help out. It will cost more than an off the rack Gibson, but the fit and finish will definitely be better. Gibson's non-Custom Shop QC is generally not as good, IMHO, so buying sight unseen, I'd have more confidence in the Hamer. By going the custom route, you can also specify neck carves, etc., so you can get closer to your dream guitar. Welcome and good luck either way! MarkB

One purple XL for me and a 4T for the lad The design is awesome, and purple matches my recent special order! MarkB

Hmm. Looks like a string tree in the pic, which is unusual for a USA, although since the tuners are not the usual staggered Sperzels, that would explain that too. Also, I think they quit making Daytonas in 1997, along with the rest of the bolt-on stuff. Would they even be tooled up to do a Daytona in 2002? Pics of the front and back of the headstock would help: look for the USA under the logo on the front, and a serial number stamped into the wood on the back. It could be an import with mods, or a USA customized. Hard to tell so far. Good luck, MarkB
