My 1982 Sunburst has a medium neck. It is definitely not thin.

How old is the guy? There are people today who never heard of a phone book or its modern form, yp.com. Some businesses only have a FaceBook page, not a web site. Any business that does not show a physical location and a phone number is always suspect to me.

"Sensory overload" is what I got from just looking at the photos!

Any Dregs/Morse Fans Near Clearwater?
Steve Haynie replied to Steve Haynie's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
The Steve Morse Band was carefully doing weekend shows knowing that Steve might have to get back home to his wife. She wanted him to go out and play. The Dregs tour was announced a couple of weeks before her death. The shows are scheduled about three months after Janine's death. How Steve holds up around that point remains to be seen. Janine may have insisted he go out on tour. -
Eventually, he got his bass back!
Steve Haynie replied to gorch's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
The value of the bass was mentioned, but Paul is likely not selling. He may even leave the bass to a museum or trust so that it never becomes available for sale. Until he sells it, there is no need for a price. -

I have a couple of tickets for the Dixie Dregs / Steve Morse Band show coming up on April 27th. They may have to be sold or traded off. Is anyone possibly interested?

Don't forget drilling a hole in your headstock so you can hang your guitar on a nail. -
I have 1992, 1993, and 1996 Specials. I have been less drawn to the thinner necks as the years go by. The Specials are still fun to play.

Cliff no longer wants to commit to full tours. He and Angus had discussed that before last year's one-off show at Power Trip. Axl got the gig with AC/DC by just calling and saying he would like to fill in for Brian. One would think that a lot of big name bass players would have attempted to the same.

Hamer Special- VG Price Guide
Steve Haynie replied to bsteff666's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Dealers report prices. They have incentive to push prices up. The prices given are for pristine examples. What is the suggested scale for pricing less than perfect, or used, examples? -

I really dug Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper 35 years ago.

Josh needs to step up his game.

You cannot play the case. Is it supposed to be a shrine for the pickups you took out to install the new expensive ones? Are you supposed to leave it empty? -
If the Vector feels right and sounds good just keep it as is. If details keep eating at you then get the Mann Made bridge. Play your new guitar a while before restoring it. You might have all you need already.

That plaid maple looks great!

Hey, man! There are plenty of us who own Hamers because of Jennifer Love Hewitt. 😉 -
You will make it to 75 faster than you think. 40 snuck up on you, did it not? A need for work space finally got me to get rid of stuff in my parents' house. Bedroom furniture is getting dumped cheap. The living room and dining room furniture is not in the way, and finding a place for that is tough because it is out of style and no one has a formal dining room anymore. Years of accumulated clutter is not a problem, but recently there has been motivation to get rid of it. Things that have somehow become mine have been untouched for decades. eBay has to send 1099s, but last year all that was sold on eBay was my father's stuff. Hopefully, the values given to the probate court will help to cancel out the taxes on the sales amount. I dread having to pay taxes on my own property that gets sold on eBay. There are enough things of my own that could bring in some decent money. At this time I want all of my instruments and amps in working order. A couple of years ago a friend told me that there are instructions in his will for his family to contact me about selling off his gear. Coincidentally, I had named him in my will for disposing of my guitars and amps. Another friend is named to get rid of a certain type of collectibles, although there are not many. A trusted friend has sealed instructions for where and what everything is and some necessary passwords. My demise will not be a mess for someone. My house might be a mess, though. Fortunately, I will no longer be around to be embarrassed by some of my choices in stompboxes. A visit to an auction house or consignment shop works if you are not looking for a lot of money. It is one step above donating to charity, and that is a step above going to a landfill. At least you can get a tax deduction. I really do not mind keeping the guitars and gear. Even if they are not played I enjoy having them.

Cool oldie. The shirt is cool, too.
