Money Sent and a big BUMP!

Love that bass. Congrats it has to feel great just getting out there. I played golf today with a couple of Music Buddies that were in the house band at jam night. Looks like it maybe starting up again.

Early Hamer production #'s, How many are left?
bubs_42 replied to RkR's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I personally fancy the Early Sunburst. I've owned 5 79's and 1 81 Sunburst. I sold all of them when I aquired my 77 Sunburst 7 0051 big neck and big tone. I've been laying low lately but I fully intend on getting a 78. Great guitars, but I do believe that most prefer the 79 because of the fact thats when the Sustainblock appeared as well as the 3pc necks. Its like the 57, 58, 59 LP. The 79 just hit everthing just right. 1980 was cool then 81 Hamer moved to the small necks. Although the extra cut in the lower horn was a very nice upgrade. The 81 that I have was one of the best sound burst that I've owned but my 77 KILLS! -
Nice, everthing just fits on that guitar. Looks fantastic!

There was a couple of HFC'ers behind the scenes scrambling for that bass. We all worked together instead of against each other to bring it into the fold. -

Killer Deal. If I wouldn't have gotten the Craigslist Bass I would have bought this one. -

Egnater Tweaker will solve all your problems. I've had Marshall's, Mesa's, Fender, Laney, and i'm perfectly happy with the Tweaker. I use a Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive for a little more hair but the amp is good at all levels up to about 12:30 on the volume. Gets a little angry past that point. It is loud enough to keep up with a drummer and not be miked.

I was a 9 gage player for years and I always hated the way my high strings sounded. I've moved to tens so thats my vote. Ernieball Classics.

Over 4years and just under 5000 post's and I got to admit. This thread is the biggest pile of sh*t i've came acrossed on this board. No matter what side of the fence you're on we have to remember than everyone has an opinion and nobody has to agree but its no reason to be disrespectful to each other or jump on the pile. This is the "HamerFanclub" and from what i've viewed every day on this board and from members is not a reflection of what I have read in this thread. Although we are only 15 this year I have aquote "It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you'll do things differently." ~ Warren Buffet

I thought 'F spaced' meant string/pole spacing for a Fender-width bridge HB pickup. From what I've seen, a 'normal' spaced HB does fine in the neck position (many a Tele has this as a mod), but they're a little too narrow for a Fender bridge--the poles don't quite line up with the strings at the bridge. Correct me if I'm wrong, I've never needed to get a 'F spaced' HB. If you use a Trembucker under a TOM the poles are directly under the strings. I have on in my(Former) 81 Flying V.

The Custom is a pickup that I have kept coming back too in the past. I have had some older ones that sound great in certain guitars but that pickup to me only sounds good on 10. I believe that when I sold my Lightburst 79 I had a Duncan Custom in the bridge and a Pearly Gates in the neck. Raunchy tone that was, very, Get out of my way I'm coming through! I love the 59 and the JB but I am looking for a bridge pup somewhere in the middle.

One SD i've never tried and would like too. Is it really like a bigger badder 59?
-
Alright everyone keep in line here. If I have to brake out a dictionary to understand works in a thread its time for me to part ways.
-
Really it took you three? They are great pups but I wish they would lighten up on the potting a little. The older ones just have something the new ones don't.

Be careful. You'll want to buy a PRS... I've wanted a McCarty for some time now. I just have to find a good one. -
