I quit my membership in the HOC today. I wrote a single post in a long, continuing thread how I felt about the seemingly increasing amount of censorship over there. I also stated my Moderator "powers" were taken away without warning or reason when the new regime was put in charge.
The entire thread was deleted. Again, no warning, no reason, and no comments from either the Administrator or his minions, though one Mod said it wasn't him.
That was the last straw for me. I will no longer be a member of a club that won't let the membership speak up without fear of reprisal. I'm done!
Oh yeah: fucktards! (Can't say that over there!)

Because unlike some other builders/manufacturers who use outdated, inferior methods because it's their heritage, Mike (like Hamer) do it correctly to all but preclude warping and twisting.
Good to know! Maybe that's why the other "H" comes with only a 1-year warranty! But I've never seen one with a warped/twisted neck, though.

Just curious--why is the binding sanded down AFTER the fingerboard is glued to the neck? Another manufacturer, which starts with H, does it BEFORE.

I never saw any insects, but I did buy a used amp once that smelled like it was in a wet barn for 20 years. I scrubbed, then completely removed the tolex; sanded and varnished the cabinet, and finally cleaned the electronics--it still stunk! It would make the entire house smell within a couple hours. I finally had to sell it at a loss, as I swear it must have been possessed by a stink demon!

I've been thinking that my three Hamers are all the guitars I'll ever need. I've got all the bases covered: Solid body? My Studio Custom. Semi-hollow? My Newport BirdsEye, of course. When I can't decide between solid or semi? My Artist Custom fits like a glove.
I've been slowly downsizing, as I've sold some pedals and an amp recently on Reverb. Just need to sell a few more guitars and a couple more amps. It's nice having actual space in a closet again.

I voted in the >$2,500 range, because that's how much I paid for my 2013 LP Standard Koa after tax; before tax, it would be <$2,500.
But as far as value? My Hamers, of course--they're priceless!
