  1. Seems like a good idea to withdraw & keeping it! Over on TPG there are some threads about early Schecters and a couple of knowledgeful members foxyguitars and superrock. See this one for example: https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/early-schecter-van-nuys-history-pt-3.1729247/
  2. ...my shortcut in my brain was the other way round: I was wondering, when and why (luthier) Ian A. would have cooperated with Hamer to get his name on the headstock. LOL.
  3. Those of you in the US in need (or: just lust) for a stellar amp, dare having a look at ebay. Isn't that too good to be true? (No affiliation, use appropriate judgement if interested) https://www.ebay.com/itm/Komet-Songwriter-30/123938923207?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D40735%26meid%3D2ca9319046a448ab87b56a6237d5ed75%26pid%3D100290%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D123938923207%26itm%3D123938923207%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2060778&_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507
  4. My 07 Talladega weighs in at xactly 3497 grams/7,707 pounds. The 08 Tally Pro is 3495 grams, so these were pretty consistent in weight (and beauty). But I don't know, if they count: both are Amber burst....😎
  5. Let me assist: https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/hamer-e-gitarre-airbrush-von-jim-o-connor/1176671591-74-22665 https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/1979-hamer-usa-sunburst-bound-and-crowned-custom-incl-case/1175382879-74-7580 without any pics this time Both have been up more often. And a Scarab, more reasonable priced, on regular ebay and in Kleinanzeigen, too: https://www.ebay.de/itm/Hamer-USA-Scarab-1985-Gibson-Strings-Rare-Vintage-Explorer-Floyd-Rose-Schaller/254312824438?hash=item3b3639be76:g:xVEAAOSwlbZdPYS3 Later on you'll find a Diablo and a Duotone, also.
  6. Congrats on your chops and gear, esp. the Komet. Someone once said, it 'd be a spiritual experience playing a Komet. I would agree to that, I have a pretty early K60 from 10/2000, too. Very usable with a Fryette Powerstation II...
  7. If you've skipped it, someone else must 've snagged it. Me not, too. 😉 I have an SSH ABM trem-one.
  8. https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/hamer-usa-gitarre/1155603015-74-10632 No aff., as usual. That's a HSS-Versinon with FR at a verygood price imho. But be careful, a lot of scammers there, lately!
  9. The timbers on those early/mid-90ies Sunbursts are extremely purdy, figured and deep. The later Talladegas and Monacos manage to come close, sometimes.
  10. For those familiar with millimeters: Thickness 1. fret: 21 mm 12. fret: 21 mm Width: 1. fret: 43,3 mm 12. fret: 52,4 mm Form: flat C And lots & lots of B'eyes per mm2 Hope, that helps!
  11. ...and a little less flame `n´ eyes than the Reverb one.
  12. Was it one of you first 6 viewers w/in 21 min. of this thread, that made an offer? Good luck 😉
  13. A really convincing beauty on reverb. Even a little badder than mine. https://reverb.com/item/25197975-hamer-vintage-s-w-amber-burst-finish-pre-owned-1992?utm_source=MarketingCloud&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=Transactional+-+Saved+Search+Digest+Feed+Content Hell yeah, 1992 must have been a gorgeous year...
  14. Or you're gonna purchase THIS: https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/hamer-made-81-original-prototyp-vintage-e-gitarre/1135954479-74-3343 Not mine, no affiliation. But there is still a whole, quirky guitar around the ring 😉 Good price, though!
  15. Hm, me thinks he mumbled Holy Grail. These would be the ones, everybody's been talking about for ages, no?
  16. Good idea, your headline saying “furniture“ guitars. Not “firewood“.
  17. Wow! That is clearly one of if not THE the first Hamer: A very scarce early 1952! Any early Les Paul can definitely go home! 😎
  18. To lead this thread a litle more back to its basics: A real sharky one's coming up over here at the Music Zoo. The story about it is to be read here: https://www.themusiczoo.com/blogs/news/evh-sharkhead-demo?goal=0_63363c100e-a91a661a37-263339625&mc_cid=a91a661a37&mc_eid=8e04d47dac
