If I could sit back and hang with one guitar player, I think it would be Tom Bukovak. I have watched what interviews I could find, and every guitar player I like seems to namecheck Tom. Now he is doing these Corona Sessions on Youtube, even though they are raw, he is just a dude playing guitar. ;)

Gracias for naming his account. Subscribed immediately!

Heard good things about and from him here in Europe, too.

The title led me to a different assumption .

Me too!! I thought times might have been gettin tough!! Back to the corner...

Concerning that interpretation: A look at my profile and the certain ranking of „interests“ mentioned should be clear enuff, I'd say.

But: Would you have clicked my posting otherwise? 😉

That's a handsome guitar. I'll bet you do have some remorse there! Wow.

The only reason for selling was it's inconvenience playing it seated w/o man spreading.

  3. With a little remorse I have to state my Ex-Vector being sold, again, in the UK.

Sold it to a member here who handed it on towards the actual buyer/seller with a strict „Last in, 1st out“ policy.

Whatever you may think of a philosophy like that, the Vector is a huge, dry log of hog with great sustain and tone; all original asfaik.

Seller's ad (I don't know him, no further affiliation) is here: https://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/175146/fs-hamer-vector-1983-flame-tope-beauty-1300#latest

And here is a pic of it:

  4. If you like I could buy this 10 CD-Box for you and ship it to the US.

It contains those 10 Studio Albums in a paper box:

    Force It
    No Heavy Petting
    Lights Out
    No Place To Run
The Wild The Willing And The Innocent
    Making Contact

I'm gonna buy one example for myself, so I could add a 2nd easily.

    PM me!

Your Talladega is 85 guitars before mine. I would love to know what your chambering is. If you tap around can you tell if your tally is hollow behind the bridge?  Mine is not but a lot of the later ones are.

    Hey Travis,

    it's hard to guess.

I would say, the Talladega is NOT chambered below/around the bridge, as the back sounds the same around the middle axis from neck to the strap pin,

but sounds different along the (upper )outer edge from upper bout  towards the butt. The chambering seems to differ between 3 and 5 cm wide.

Tapping the top, you can only hear smaller differences, but it seems to be alike.

The guitar weighs in at exactly 3482 g/7,6765 pounds, if that helps.

And my Talladega Pro, #8 56013, bought 9/2014 via ebay from a big Nashville Studio, after the flood (Top seam opened up a few millimeters at the butt)

    I could add:

The golden mirror knobs make it more of an R0, just because I liked the optics.

And pickups are a set of Ian Anderson PAFs, that are absolutely comparable to other makers' PAF-iterations like OX4 or Throbaks.

    They suit the Tally well.
