tommy p Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 (edited) $2800 + actual shipping As a guitar player, I never really sought to own a bass but I thought if a JetGlo 4001 ever crossed my path I might consider it. They are just too f'ing cool to ignore. Well, one did and I succumbed to the temptation. I loved when I would get a chance to play bass and I got to whip this one out. Jaws dropped. This bass is a beautiful naturally relic'd 1979; just some normal player wear. I'm 99% sure this is the original case. It has Schaller straplock pins installed right now, but they will be removed and replaced with generic strap pins. It has a Lindy Fralin pickup in it currently and the original is also included. All electronics including the Ric-o-sound jacks are in working order. I have never used the Ric-o-sound but a friend of mine borrowed the bass for recording project a couple years ago and came back raving about it. He ended up buying a FireGlo 4001 for himself. I'm not even charging extra for the custom label on that one volume knob - consider that gift to you. You're welcome. Asking $2800 PP F&F local sale, or $2800 PP F&F and you pay actual shipping; I pack it up, get the weight and dimensions and you buy the shipping label from your carrier of choice, using whatever priority (speed of service) you want. You just email me the label pdf to use. I also have it listed on Reverb for more because of their fees, and locally for $3000 so I'm giving HFC'ers my lowest offer. Edited April 30 by tommy p 7 Quote
tommy p Posted January 8 Author Posted January 8 The tire kickers have been out in full force on this one but when it's time to "show me the money" they turn into Casper. Bump. 2 2 1 Quote

I'm trying to blame it on listing it pre-Christmas. 2 Quote

There's 2 rods and they are the bane of any techs existence and will test skills there. Once you get 'em right and stabilized, all is well but it takes serious tweaking and tweezing usually to get it. Edited January 11 by JGravelin 1 Quote
seeker Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I've got a 79 4001 in Autumnglo. My main bass in my gigging years. Great basses. Somehow will be very happy. Finish was standard, but had to order it from factory. Mine and 5 other Rick's got stolen off a UPS truck so the shop had to reorder. Somewhere out there is my twin. Or at least close. Replacement came with black picguard and truss rod cover. 1 Quote
