Been on an amp feeding frenzy lately. The latest is from our own award-winning Atomicwash (Danny). It's a Vox AC10C1-VS Limited Edition (alotta name for a tiny amp):

It does all the right Vox stuff in a small, lightweight package. Just add a Junior and a cable and you're good for the night. Love it!

Since January, 5 amps have appeared:

The SuperChamp was a backup until being sold to my bass player. Found out they quit making them so I bought it back.

The Ibanez is better than expected. It's a bass amp with a 12" and a horn - perfect for the Yamaha piano. From Dave's.

The Fender Rumble 200 is amazing - and under 35 lbs! My bass player played it hard and loved it. From Dave's.

The Hartke...well you know that story. Plus, it's for the electric drums. Also from Dave's.

Sure, it's not a pile of cool boutique stuff. In fact, one is just unreliable crap. But - right now - they fit the criteria: CHEAP, small, loud enough to be heard in a small setting, under 50 lbs so my poor old back can survive, and CHEAP (did I already say that?). The whole lot was just north of $1K., less than any ONE boutique amp I'd want to own. Each fit's their purpose extremely well, and my kids won't lose much when it's time to sell. B)

It's been fun!

I would keep a lookout for amps like the Rivera Pubster 25 and Chubster 25. Pretty simple design, great construction quality, and they usually go for like $400-500 used. The R33 are also pretty dang good.

@hamerhead You forgot to mention the free delivery to Oregon. My favorite part: the Tim gear tour!

Well that goes without saying - the free delivery sold it!
