A week or two ago he posted that he was leaving Facebook and would be using BluSky or BlueSky whatever that is.

That doesn't necessarily mean he won't still use the FB Messenger.

The Messenger app can be used independently from one's FB account.

I deleted my FB account 10 years ago, but I still use FB Messenger.
