HoboMan Posted May 18, 2025 Posted May 18, 2025 Selling my recently acquired Les P7aul Goddess. VERY GOOD condition. These were only made for a few years, I think 2005 -2007. Gibson marketed these for female guitarists. They have a slightly smaller body that a regular Les Paul. The pickups are a 490R at the neck and a 498T at the bridge and have clear bobbins showing the coils underneath. Mahogany body & neck with an Ebony fretboard. The top is gloss with matte back & sides. These originally came with some kind of funky locking tuner but they have been upgraded to a set of Grovers. Has shaller strap lock buttons. Other than that it's all original. Includes the original hardshell case. Recently had the frets leveled and polished with a complete setup by Dave's Guitar Shop in Sun Prairie. Currently strung with 8s and PLAYS LIKE A DREAM. WEIGHS 6.99 lbs on my digital scale. One of the lightest Les Pauls you'll ever play. $1900 shipped & PayPal'd. No Trades
cynic Posted May 18, 2025 Posted May 18, 2025 Those are very cool guitars and the black ones are the best ones because they don't have the body-color matching Gibson logos like the others. At some point I'm pretty sure my granddaughter will be getting one.
Ua D Posted May 19, 2025 Posted May 19, 2025 Damn. I like that it’s wraparound bridge and ebony board. Very cool. Glws
santellavision Posted May 19, 2025 Posted May 19, 2025 Just when I thought I had seen about every type of Lester, here's another! Cool axe.
Dave Scepter Posted May 19, 2025 Posted May 19, 2025 Cool guitar, I'd be all over that had it come with a TOM bridge 👍🏼

So small that I had to check this morning because I've never noticed before. If you take your hands off the neck and jump around the neck will start to lean down a little.

stedge Posted May 22, 2025 Posted May 22, 2025 Townshend and then at some point it whacks him in the chin.
analogsystem Posted May 22, 2025 Posted May 22, 2025 Interesting that the pickups are all slugs and no screw pole pieces. That is a little different from regular 490 and 498 humbuckers. I wonder if it makes them brighter or darker?

So good in fact that I'm thinking about buying a used set of 490R & 498T for my Gibson Flying V.
scottcald Posted May 23, 2025 Posted May 23, 2025 Those are cool. They had another model called the Vixen that I think had rosewood for the board and dot inlays and solid colors, no binding etc. Found the info: https://www.zzounds.com/item--GIBLPVX

Thinner bodies, tummy cut AND a carved top.
