2 hours old and still not sold?  That's gotta be a record!

As a fan of Eclipses, especially black ones, I was very tempted.  Then I saw the unusually thin neck measurements, push/pull tone control and (possibly) non original case.

Good price if you like the specs.

But gone this morning. I hope it found a forever stage.

I consider the Eclipse the Telecaster of Hamers.

Simple, ergonomic and devoid of any non-essential components or decoration.

I'm surprised that Keith Richards doesn't play one.

I, too, was all in until I read 0.83" at the first fret. At that price I didn't have a problem with anything else. Love the black on an Eclipse.

Really weirds me out how much the Eclipse shape has grown on me over the years.

This and this….

For all the reasons, I should hate this guitar. And for all the opposite reasons, I love it.

The shape is “hideous”. Half special half SS1.

However… it’s a slab body with a wraptail and the pickups could concern me less. I’d route them for double p90’s and make it the most ergonomic LP special ever.

if it was Korina, then even better…

And then there’s that zebra eclipse that someone on here has. I will buy that today if they’ll sell it (and my wife says it’s ok)….

As someone who digs bird pickups, I really should have one. In vintage orange or better yet, flip flop green.

It has always struck me how similar the McInturff Polaris is in design, it came out shortly after Terry did some consulting with Hamer, IIRC.
