Some bands never break their relationship with members who can no longer tour.  Nicko McBrain is still part of Iron Maiden even though he no longer tours.  Phil Ehart has had to step away from touring with Kansas.  John Deacon stopped performing with Queen while still being involved as a business partner.  Glenn Tipton cannot tour with Judas Priest, but he stays involved with the band as much as possible.
