DarkHammer Posted November 26, 2025 Posted November 26, 2025 (edited) I just found out that Cheap Trick will play live at some small venues in Jan-Apr, 2026. Tickets in my are quite cheap (around $60) compared what music industry charges for most shows. https://www.cheaptrick.com/tour-dates.html I never saw them in concert and I am not really sure what to expect. Is this really Cheap Trick or some sort of a tribute band? How many original members are still in the band? Do they still put out good shoes? Would you see them live today? mathman Posted November 26, 2025 Posted November 26, 2025 Don't have any idea if that would be cheap trick or a tribute band but the original band is still touring and only Bun. E is no longer in the band. Daxx, Rick's son is now the drummer. 2 Quote

Steve Haynie Posted November 26, 2025 Posted November 26, 2025 (edited) Do not expect a show from the 1970's. The guys are older, and Rick is not as "in your face" as he once was. Tom never ran around a lot, so his presence will be about the same as it has always been. Robin's voice is as strong as ever, which is amazing for someone still seen with a cigarette every now and then. Robin will be the one holding the show together. You will be impressed by him. Robin's son will be there as an extra guitar player and singer. He does not need to be there, but he will be. Rick's son plays drums. I want to see Cheap Trick next year. A friend convinced me to buy tickets for Rush and AC/DC next year. That makes me skittish on buying more tickets to anything. With my other 2026 tickets my entertainment budget is now spent already. Cheap Trick has not become a tribute band to themselves. They are still very much Cheap Trick. Their setlist changes every night, so you may get all your favorites or a bunch of newer songs you never heard. That was a point of argument with Bun E. as he only wanted to play an all hit-song setlist. Now you get some good surprises in the show. Edited November 26, 2025 by Steve Haynie 4 Quote

Thank for confirming Steve, I think I am going to see Cheap Trick. I also purchased AC/DC tickets for next year, as well as: - Iron Maiden - Helloween I am sure something else nice will pop up. It's going to be a great year! 2 Quote
BTMN Posted November 26, 2025 Posted November 26, 2025 That is a pretty accurate description. I saw them in May and will see them with Styx in March iirc. These are from May. 😎👍❤️🏁 5 Quote
