DavidE Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Padded cover for Bogner Shiva:$75 at Tuki$50 at Le CoverIs the Tuki better?Any other sources to recommend?
Aceldama Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 I've owned both. For keeping dust off an amp that stays home, the LeCover will do fine, although the amp handle hole was a little off. For light gigging, the padded Tuki product was over-all better made. I have one for my '68 Vibrolux Reverb and '68 Princeton Reverb. Did their job extremly well and more convienct than a touring case. For the VR, they also had a bottom piece. Nice if your tossing in in a van or have to deal with union stage hands...

I'm looking at the foam padded version from both. Why wouldn't the LeCover be good for something more than a dust cover?Someone on the gear page recommended another company as well that sounds interesting. But I may have a line on a used Tuki so that would be a good way to go.I'm basically transporting the amp to gigs in the back of my Ford Escape. No roadie anymore. I put everything in road cases for him.
teleman Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 I've got a LeCover padded cover for my Dr. Z MAZ 18 and a TUKI padded cover for a cab that I have. I can see no difference in quality. Both are great covers but the Le Cover will save you a bit of cash.
Hamer95USA Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Tuki or Studio Slips. Hey guys, I've owned the nylon padded Tuki covers on my amps and cabinets for the last 13 years. Great covers!! I love the Studio Slips although they're slightly more expensive they are a nice alternative to the road cases. Either company makes a good product. I don't own the Le Cover covers so I can't make a comment about them. Guitar George
tombo Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Studio Slips is **IT** for me. Great service, quality products.

Aceldama Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Opps, back when I bought my LeCover, all they had was non-padded slip covers...Still, the Tuki's are better made. Fit perfect. Every hole in the right place.
HSB0531 Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 I've been offering Cloud 9 covers as an option on my speaker cabinets since 1990 They're great. Extremely durable covers. They've been around for about 20 years, longer than anyone else. And they have a lifetime warranty. Here's the link:cloud9covers.com
