It was my post. I deleted it. I'm so ashamed. /emoticons/default_blink.png

Well Greg, I'm a member of the musicians union local. There's a lot of button boxxers there. They seemed to like my orange sparkle newport. Anything with a floyd confused them. They also like guitars with alot of "bling" (ultimates).

Mama’s got a squeeze box

She wears on her chest

And when daddy comes home

He never gets no rest

’cause she’s playing all night

And the music’s all right

Mama’s got a squeeze box

Daddy never sleeps at night

Which Hamer kicks the Polka harder?  I want to rip while wearing lederhosen, what should I use?
You'll have to call Jol and get him to open a factory

in Czechoslovakia. (I think they make Dean´s there?)

But I think any Hamer that resides in a room full of 80 year

olds will do. Just be gentle on the gain button.

Polka is defined as a vivacious couple dance of Bohemian origin in duple time was a basic pattern of hop-step-close-step; a lively Bohemian dance tune in 2/4 time.

The polka was originally a Czech peasant dance, developed in Eastern Bohemia (now part of Czechoslovakia). Bohemian historians believe that the polka was invented by a peasant girl (Anna Slezak, in Labska Tynice in 1834) one Sunday for her amusement. It was composed to a folk song "Strycek Nimra Koupil Simla (Uncle Nimra brought a white horse)." Anna called the step "Madera" because of its quickness and liveliness.

The dance was first introduced into the ballrooms of Prague in 1835. The name of the dance (pulka) is Czech for "half-step", referring to the rapid shift from one foot to the other

Are you disturbed yet?

The Improv is the guitar best suited to polka. It is closest to something that a guitar player in an orchestra would play. Aside from running PA for a German polka band at a festival, the only other group I've seen playing a polka is Riders In The Sky. Again, the Improv comes closest to Ranger Doug's Stromberg guitars.

Yup, if you want to play a polka, you're going to have to shell out the big bucks for the proper guitar. That's why we play rock and roll on the $2000 cheap guitars.

Cool. I'm there already.

I like that last hotbox in ther pics. Talk about bling. I'd have a blast on that thing doing variations on ELP tunes. Polka Tarka would be too cool. /emoticons/default_blink.png

"The HFC Polka"

I can just hear that one at the Knights of Columbus Hamer Jam this fall. Can't be worse than "Surrender" turned out last year /emoticons/default_cool.png/emoticons/default_tongue.png/emoticons/default_tongue.png/emoticons/default_tongue.png/emoticons/default_blink.png

HEy Now just because it was the free jazz version of surrender doesn't mean it was all bad. LOL
