serial Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Was looking at the pics and thinking "where's the bullet truss rod?", then I remembered that these had four bolts-this was Fender's first move toward correcting the Strat. I liked the bridge pickups in these better than the standard fare, which was REALLY harsh. I think that they ended up using that pickup in production Strats.
cmatthes Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I remember thinking that was the coolest Fender ever when they came out.
serial Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 "I remember thinking that was the coolest Fender ever when they came out." Other than the Antigua ones, of course. I'm so insane, I'd trade my charcoal sparkle SS2 for the right antigua Fender...
Nuclear Wessel Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 25th Anniversary Strats are the coolest Fenders ever. In a "That 70's Show"kinda way. Still got mine, my first electric, purchased new in '79 when I was a sophomore.
