1979 fender strat 25th anniversary

Was looking at the pics and thinking "where's the bullet truss rod?", then I remembered that these had four bolts-this was Fender's first move toward correcting the Strat. I liked the bridge pickups in these better than the standard fare, which was REALLY harsh. I think that they ended up using that pickup in production Strats.

I'm so insane, I'd trade my charcoal sparkle SS2 for the right antigua Fender...

 
25th Anniversary Strats are the coolest Fenders ever. In a "That 70's Show"kinda way. Still got mine, my first electric, purchased new in '79 when I was a sophomore.
