Rhys Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 As much as I love my 1995 Standard I never play it & can't really afford to just keep it under the bed gathering dust, so if there's anyone in the UK that may be interested PM me & I can send you more details, pics etc. It's basically mint condition apart from some Hameritis along the fingerboard edges, which hasn't flaked or gotten worse in the 3 years or so that I've had it.Open to offers but I'm not going to give it away.

cmatthes Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Im geting a feel for the forum and you are the devil on the right shoulder THAT didn't take you long to figure out!
Rhys Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 got pictures? As stated in my initial post, PM me with your email address & I'll send you some pictures......
Andrew Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 You won't thank me for this - but the UK is a real buyer's market at the moment. If you really don't need to sell I would hang on to it. There is no moral imperative what-so-ever that says you can't hoard a guitar just because you like it even if you don't play it.New Hamers are moving into the UK now in larger numbers - I don't know whether that helps sell older ones or not, but I know that it reduces their rarity value. So unless the bailiffs are at the door - keep it!Andrew.
Lew Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Im not interested in buying it now btw because if it is really breaking your heart to think about selling it then its simple keep it Dont sell it,you will always regret selling it but you will never regret keeping it.The necks on these are solid, just take it from under the bed and check it every now and then It's no crime to have a backup
Rhys Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 I didn't want to go on about how much I need the money as you tend to get hit with loads of insulting offers, but the truth is I lost my job, my Mrs. set fire to the ....ing living room by accident & the pump blew on our central heating boiler, none of which is covered by insurance & the only thing I've got to sell that's worth any kind of money is THIS BASTARD GUITAR.BTW Andrew, as you've probably guessed, this means I also can't afford to buy your Chapperal Bass at the moment. Sorry about that.

Sorry about that.Ack ;SReally good luck in finding an alternative to selling it but at the end of the day if you have no choice take comfort in it being fairly replaceable
