Having just bought to much gear lately, (most notably a Hiwatt Custom 20 I found today on the Gear Page)the the '81 B&C Sunburst, aka the "Aceburst" is for sale.

I will find some pictures and get them up. It has also been described by others that know way more about it than I do- I will track down the descriptions and get them up as soon as I can.

One of the HFC's finest actually has a photobucket site up w/ lots of great pictures of the guitar. If I get his permission, I will link to it.

You can email me at joefetters at mac.com

Thanks!

If anybody is interested in the details on the guitar, I would welcome you to do an "aceburst" search on the HFC.

Doing so will give you all the background on the guitar in far more detail than I could ever offer. Regarding price... $1,100, shipped.

Regarding wiring- The down position = bridge, middle position = Bridge/Neck, up position = neck. - The 3rd pickup is activated via the push/pull tone knob. Then you can, use the pickup switch again to get bridge/middle, all 3, or middle/neck.

Thanks to all that have expressed interest.

By the way... Jaye- did you used to own a RS Guitarworks Black Pine Tele Relic?

I did own a guitar like that, yes. Did you buy it?

Yeah, I did buy it. Incredible guitar. For some reason I've got a thing for pine Tele's- When I called RS Guitarworks w/ a question, they asked me if I had the guitar that Jaye owned? Now I know the answer! I have a mess of Custom Shop Tele's, etc, and the RS Guitarworks "Old Friend" stands up with any one of them. Off topic, but... did you and the tele just not connect?

No, I loved that Tele but sold it and a few other guitars to make a hefty down payment on my Harley. The fat neck is killer on that one.

The neck is actually fat on this one?

Greg, you have waaay too much time on your hands and waaay too much Photoshop skill...but that one goes into the ROTFLMAO category. I had a luthier friend who passed away back in 2001 that always had a "Knob-O-Caster" poster in his shop. I think it had 8 single coils!

Dammit! This one always comes up at the wrong time and is my all time favorite. If this was after the first week of December and would ship to Japan, it would be mine.

NO.

NOW it's fixed.....

I was referring to the pine Tele mentioned above...sorry.

I know! I was referring to this one... Me sorry!

Explicitly now: Can you (you == srvwannabe :P) please tell me how fat the neck is? I like that guitar A LOT, but I need a chunky neck.

I thought the assignment operator was := or am remembering Pascal?

You're remembering Pascal -- or maybe UML? And BTW, the "==" operator actually is the equality operator in C++, Java and C# -- that's a comparison operator. The assignment operator is just "=". :P
