e-isle rock
Where do you get boxes to fit Hamer cases? Either Studio style cases or Centaura type cases. All the music stores here either don't have any boxes or the ones they have leave no room at the ends for packing.UPS total charges using their "guitar box" creeps up to just shy of $100.It just happened to the blue Studio I just sold. Had to use a box from UPS. After insurance, the box and packaging, shipping, PayPal fees, Ebays fees I might as well not sold it. Thanks!
atquinn
http://www.uline.com/Product/AdvSearchResu...keywords=guitar boxI got 5 a couple years back and I still have one left. I'm normally a 1-in, 1-out type of guy, so I only have to use them if I get a guitar in a box that's trashed or buy locally and then need to ship. I believe when I got them they only had one size (probably the larger boxes). But get a 5 pack of the electric boxes and you should be all set.-Austin
velorush
I go by and beg at the GC in Memphis. Those guys have been great over the years. My local shop (well, as local as 40 miles away) asked me $20 for a box. GC lets me have them for free (at least until someone in management reads this post!). Thundersteel
I just go to my local music store. They ask me what type of guitar I'm shipping, and they give me the boxes for free.
specialk
I go by and beg at the GC in Memphis. I've done that at my local GC as well. Just have to make sure you get there before they break the boxes down. You might ask them when they do that and get there before they do it the next time. $20/box is crazy, mon! BubbaVO
I just go to my local music store. They ask me what type of guitar I'm shipping, and they give me the boxes for free.+1 I'll buy some strings, sheet music ... something and then ask for the box. veatch
Note that you may have trouble making a shipping claim for damage when using a "used" box. It;s never happened to me directly, but i've heard stories...I pay the extra and get the Uline boxes and add the cost to the shipping charges (with an explanation of why i do that...)
