Taylor Player Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Wow, are those legit prices on the XP-100s? Haven't looked at them for while.....
carfish7 Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 I have an original Rockman (model II), the first incarnation with the gain control and 4 tone settings. I have used it for many recording sessions and as a tote-along companion when I take the kids to the beach, but I just got the "pocket pod" today so it is time to retire the Scholz. It gets all the great Rockman tones, and has the stereo chorus, a delay setting, and the previously mentioned 4 gain settings (plus gain trimpot);distortion, edge, clean 1 and clean 2. Everything works great. I have the belt clip but no adapter. It runs forever on 8 AA's. $75 to your door. Z
sirDaniel Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 xp100bizarre...I bought an XPR pre when they came out. Love it. Used it for 10 years as my 80s sound. sold it for more then I paid for it on this new medium called the "internet"..found an xp100 at a mom/pop music store for $250. dusty, but great. cleaned it up. thought is sounded fairly week. more of a novelty. eBayed it and got an immediate bid for $950. I took the money and ran.
bmenary Posted July 11, 2009 Author Posted July 11, 2009 Bump for rockman- Someone has to have a DUAL REMOTE LOOP module stuck in a box in the basement somewhere.......
Devnor Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Digging thru the studio the other weekend I found an old Rockman rackmount distortion box. The old secret weapon! Plugged it in; hated it! How spoiled we've become LOL.
kurtsstuff Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Yup...my 80's secret weapon was the Rockman EQ..Mounted on the back of my amps. Many times had people come up to me that own the same amp..."How come my amp Doesn't sound like yours???" lol!!
gorch Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I decided to sell all the individual modules I had in favor for the XP100 and XPR. They are programmable and provide a ton of sounds. That units cover a warm analog tone as opposed to the clinicly sounding digital samples.
sirDaniel Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 XP100 was more a novelty. It had limitations. The XPR was my main unit for 5 years in the 80s.
nervous Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 There's one on the HFC site here:http://www.ovationfanclub.com/cgi-bin/ubb/...ic;f=3;t=006384
gorch Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 XP100 was more a novelty. It had limitations. The XPR was my main unit for 5 years in the 80s. There are not that many differences though. However, they are compensated by the 100W amp included. Both units were built for different use cases anyway.
Buster Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Barry:I have a stereo chorus and stereo echo available for sale...feel free to email me with questions...I can take pics for you as well...they're in great shape considering their age...Regards,Erik
