Before we remodeled our home, I had two pairs of Bose outdoor speakers connected to one old Technics receiver. The receiver sat inside the house and the speaker wires ran out through a hole in the wall. We would plug our laptop into a hard wire that was plugged in to one of the inputs on the back of the receiver.
We have been remodeling our home for the last year. We are almost finished and I want to put two pairs of speakers out in our back yard underneath our two covered patios. My original idea was to use two pairs of powered speakers connected to two Apple Airport Express units, but I am concerned I won't be able to adjust the volume of the speakers without climbing on a ladder. Don't they make some speakers that have an IR or RF remote control? I know JBL made some wireless speakers at one point. Does anyone have any experience with this stuff?
