Len Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Anyone know how to remove the logos from SD Pickups? Nail Polish remover? Lighter Fluid? Goo Gone?
Disturber Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Use the search function. This has been up more than once. I don't remember exactly how I went about last time I removed a logo. I think I just scrubed it off, then polished the bobbin up a bit. Depends on how anal you are about your guitar looking shiny, or not, I guess.
Jeff R Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 I used Kit Scratch Out to remove SD logos just a couple of weeks ago. Took about 20 seconds per pickup and left the bobbins nice and glossy shiny. Costs about $5 and readily available. I think i bought mine at Auto Zone. I'm pretty sure they make both a liquid and paste version. I used the liquid.
Disturber Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Yeah, now I remember! I used something similar for the car, but a European brand some some sort. Worked like a charm.
Bennyboy-UK Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Ello, is this technique likely to work with the textured tops of PA pickups or is there a better plan? Thanks in advance,Benner
backinit Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Polish for ceramic/glass stove tops takes it off.
