Zandard, Vector Maximus ('da UberVector), etc.

Hello!

I am going to selling some pretty cool guitars. (I will also be keeping a bunch-but some of the high $ ones are going to go.)

For now, I have a Zandard, the Vector Maximus, as well as some others- that will be finding new homes.

I have around 50 guitars in the collection, and I am changing some of life's priorities such that I can do some things for the wife (some things she'd like done with the casa, etc.) and I'm hoping to keep the Hamer's in the family, as I bought them from the HFC family.

In terms of the Vector, please go to http://www.hamerguitars.com/?fa=customgallery and then click on Designer Archive and you can get the details. I also have a ton of good pictures. I picked this up from Kilroy, and it has never been on a strap since I got it three or four years ago.

I've had some nibbles on the Zandard, but, as of yet, now money.

The Zandard is 2,500- and the Vector is 2,750-

Thanks for all!

Joe

I can honestly say that that was an incredibly low price on that Vector. That is my second favorite Vector of all time, and I should never have sold it in the first place.

Congrats to the new owner.

It wasn't the black one, but the "Maximus" on the Designer's Archive. This one:

I like it simpler than that, but it's a great-looking guitar anyway. Congrats to the buyer!

Thank you :D

And thank you to everyone who was very helpful in this process!

I am both thankful and heartbroken that the vector sold. When I saw what it was, immediately I thought " I must have this", then I saw that it already sold. I talked to Greg a year or so ago about getting one made, but it would be so expensive, I have been holding off. I have another expensive purchase coming up soon so that is why I am somewhat relieved, but that price was great........weep weep :D

Please find lots of information on the Zandard that Velorush was kind enough to post in another thread. Thanks!

Had some time this afternoon while everyone else was napping:

Here's Dave's announcement of the Zandard CO set (from June 2006 - the photo links are broken until post #64). This speaks to Jol's personal involvement, the placement of the logo, all that cool stuff we dig. The only detail I found in digging not included in the announcement was the SD '59 in the neck position.

Pic of all three together

Explanation of the term Zandard.

ElDuave's 2009 FS ad (for #6 54680) that includes the CO Certificate (scroll down in Post 1).

An amazing, amazing set of guitars.

Greg-

I am happy it is staying the HFC family. It is a monster guitar and one that I am sure the new owner will love as much as I have. My gear thang has gotten a little out of hand. It is kind of tough to explain to the wife why I needed BJR Jr.'s in all three original colors, plus a Jr. in natural Korina. :D Let me just repeat (completely off topic)- Greg, your vision of the Jr. and Hamer's execution of your vision- resulted in some incredible instruments. I've never been in the room with a real vintage Jr, but the BCR Jr.'s are the finest P90 guitars I have ever played and I feel very fortunate to own them.

I could get that Zandard and have one to take out and one to keep minty! I got the first one in that other thread with the ding in the binding by the pickup selecter.

No worries here! That took all the pressure off of me. I've already taken it to a couple of gigs and it's currently my living room guitar. I buy 'em to play 'em, not to look at.

:D

Actually, I did that.

Just an awesome guitar, thanks Joe!

Anyone know what pickups are in this guitar?

Thanks, I try.
