crunchee
No affiliation, at DGS. Not cheap. Similar to the one recently mentioned that's in Canada. Comes with a era-correct SS practice amp. Good Lord, look at the length of that neck heel! http://davesguitar.com/products/gibson/sg-special-69/
Lockbody
Considering prime examples of SG Jrs are going for similar coin, that's not a bad price at all.I sure wished I liked the narrow necks on the late 60s-70's SGs because there sure are some bargains out there. God bless those that dislike the narrow necks - those vintages are about the only SG's in my price range! While I dig the tone of thick necks and appreciate the playability of wide necks, I personally don't mind narrow or thin necks (my Special FM!) as my fingers are lean and hands adapt easily. Course, playing some uke and mandolin helps too.
